Choose a companion and enter the grove
Press Start game, then choose Lamplume, Cairnling or Brackenkin in the game menu. Move away from approaching creatures and collect the experience left behind. Your selected skill attacks automatically.
Survive 180 seconds of gameplay to reach dawn. Pausing and choosing upgrade cards stop that clock, so you can read a choice before committing to it.

Make the next upgrade count
A learned skill becomes the active slot when you choose it. Other ordinary slots wait until you select them. Read the cards for the skill you want to develop instead of assuming every learned skill attacks at once.
Awakening needs that skill at its maximum level and the required growth bonus. Meeting those conditions makes the awakening card available; you still need to choose it. Card choices pause combat.
Training stays; an unfinished battle does not
Completed results, your companion choice, Glowshards and companion training are saved in this browser. Use earned Glowshards on training from the menu to improve later runs.
Leaving or reloading ends the current battle. It cannot be resumed at the same position. Stay with the same browser and site to keep the saved profile; clearing site data removes it. If storage is unavailable, follow the game’s visible warning before leaving.
An independent woodland edition
The companion designs, scenery drawings and synthesized sounds were made for Mosslight Grove. Its combat, world, effects, animation and interface code include adaptations of JPTER78’s fixed MIT source revision b297089. The complete upstream copyright and permission notice are included.
This edition uses its own characters and resources. Its credits identify exactly which source was adapted.
