Category Sprint

Pick a category, then recall as many listed answers as you can in 25 seconds or an untimed round. The round starts only when you choose Start round.

Each unique listed answer counts as one match in this independent practice. This count is separate from Krillion’s Daily and Unlimited rarity scores.

Changing the category or round length resets the round. Press Start round when you are ready.

Name a planet in our solar system. Use its English name; dwarf planets are a separate category.

Enter one answer at a time. Capitalization, accents and common punctuation are ignored; listed aliases count as the same answer.

Play a Daily dive

Daily gives everyone the same seven prompts for that day. Each prompt asks for one answer that fits its conditions.

  • Open the original Daily page and choose Begin Descent when you are ready to start.
  • Read the whole prompt, type your answer and submit before the 25-second timer expires.
  • After each of the first six results, choose Descend to move to the next prompt.
  • After the seventh prompt, choose Surface to open the completed dive’s results.
  • Use Keep Diving on the results page if you want to continue in Unlimited.

Understand the score and timer

Krillion’s Daily and Unlimited dives reward rarer valid answers with more points. Every point adds 10 metres to your dive, and the rules describe 700 points as reaching the trench. Read the category’s conditions before deciding how unusual an answer is.

An accepted answer can still earn a small score. Its result shows the points awarded and the distance added to your dive. If the clock expires without an answer, the observed feedback is Nothing landed and +0 points. Choose Descend to continue, or Surface after the seventh prompt.

In the checked Unlimited dive, an unmatched answer produced “no echo. try again” while the timer kept running. Revise your entry while time remains. When that prompt expired, it scored +0 points.

Unlimited after your first dive

The completed Daily page shows Next Dive In for the next daily challenge and Keep Diving for Unlimited. Follow Keep Diving or the direct Unlimited link above; the original site calls that mode The Endless Dive.

We completed the first Unlimited dive’s seven prompts. Its result page displayed Unlock Unlimited · $5 and described the offer as a one-time payment for Unlimited access and removing ads. That is the displayed offer checked on October 18, 2026; the purchase itself was not tested.

Returning through the normal Unlimited link after that dive also showed the unlock screen. The completed dive’s results include a Play This One Again button and a Restore it here link for an existing unlock.

Play the 60-second multi-answer beta

Krillion’s Test Dive beta gives you one prompt and 60 seconds to name different answers. Every accepted answer earns 1 point, with each answer counting once. Its current rules allow up to 10 rounds per day.

Choose Start a Test Round, enter an answer and use Catch to submit it. Keep adding answers while time remains. When the timer ends, the results list your counted answers and provide Try Another Prompt and Done for Now.

The beta’s notice says it saves guesses, timing and play history to help improve Krillion, while leaving your Daily score and streak unchanged.

Archive and Themed Packs

In the checked session, Archive showed the same $5 Unlimited unlock offer. The menu’s Archive link therefore led to an access screen before any past dives could be selected.

The Themed Packs menu lists Words & Language (English), At the Movies, Sports and Geography. Words & Language was marked “free for now” and beta on October 18, 2026. Check the selected pack’s own page for its current access conditions.

Krillion on Playdaily

Playdaily also has a separate version named Krillion Unlimited, with Classic and Endless options. Its page describes it as free and without a daily cap; those are Playdaily’s stated access conditions.

In our Endless check, the game began with three air tanks. One unanswered prompt cost a tank, and End the dive required a second click to confirm the finish. Its modes and score tiers differ from krillion.io, so use the instructions on the site you choose.

Practice category recall

Use Category Sprint to recall several answers from one fixed category. Choose Untimed to learn the list, or 25 seconds to add a deadline. The clock starts when you choose Start round.

The four practice categories are the eight planets, the first 20 chemical elements, the 50 U.S. states and the five recognized dwarf planets listed by NASA. Use element names or symbols, and state names or their two-letter postal abbreviations. The answer reference shows the accepted alternatives.

Read the category’s question, enter one answer at a time and choose Add answer. End round finishes early; after a round, the results separate your matched answers from the listed answers you missed. Start another round to try the same category again.

Changing the category or round length resets the round. Reset round clears the current attempt and returns it to the start.

  • In an untimed round, recall a category in smaller groups, such as states by region or elements by their position in the periodic table.
  • After the round, choose a few missed names to learn before repeating the same category.
  • Try a 25-second round once you know the scope. When you return to Krillion, read its actual prompt: its accepted answers and rarity scores follow its own rules.

How practice answers are counted

Each different answer in the selected practice list counts as one match. Repeating an answer, including a listed alternative name for it, adds no extra match. Capitalization, accents and common punctuation are ignored; matching otherwise uses the displayed names and supported aliases.

Not in this practice list means the entry did not match this exercise’s answer set. Check the category’s scope and the answer reference for the names it accepts. Krillion uses its own answer lists; your Category Sprint match count measures recall within the selected practice list.

Answer reference for manual practice reveals the lists. For a paper round, read a category, close the reference, write down your answers, then reopen it to check. The reference is also available when JavaScript is turned off.
